Candle Tips + Tricks: Wax Removal

Come along as we share our lab notes on the best methods to remove spent wax to create a clean vessel for your candle refills.

FREEZER METHOD

  • Place cooled candle into the freezer for two hours
  • The remaining wax will form a puck you can remove from the bottom
  • Scrape any left over wax from the sides
  • Clean with warm, soapy water

BOILING WATER METHOD

  • Fill candle vessel with boiling water
  • Stir and let sit until the left over wax forms together and rises to the top
  • Scrape any left over wax from the sides
  • Clean with warm, soapy water

Refill with our biodegradable candle refills. Enjoy!
